New Masking Regulations and Respecting Personal Choice
Starting tomorrow morning (Wednesday)....
SLC will be offering personal choice (with masking) with the expectation that individual choices are respected in regards to wearing masks. (Read twice)
We please ask that none of us make any assumptions regarding someone’s beliefs or health status when it comes to wearing a mask, nor should anyone comment on them….For example, students who are at increased risk or have an underlying medical condition such as asthma, may choose to continue wearing a mask, that is their choice OR many of our SLC Families have elderly grandparents/relatives, etc that live with them and are more susceptible to the Covid Virus.
Please also continue to be respectful if anyone requests that you remain physically distanced from them. We will continue to provide physical distancing “to the extent possible in our classrooms.”
If any of you have questions, feel free to reach out to our school counselors for additional support as needed.
