We will have loaded potato bowl or chicken tenders for our hot options today for lunch.
On February 13th, Elementary will have bag lunches.

📚 Scholastic Book Fair – Week of February 2nd! 📚
Our Scholastic Book Fair will be happening February 2nd–4th during school hours at the Elementary School! Here is a helpful link with more information about the book fair: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/stlawrenceelementaryschool

~Books are taxable – please include tax when sending in money.
~For younger shoppers, feel free to send a note with favorite characters or book interests to help our volunteers guide them.

The School Counseling Department is teaming up with Citizens’ Advocates to offer a free support group for all parents, caregivers, and trusted adults of children in elementary and middle school. This group will meet for three fun and supportive sessions on March 12, 19, and April 2. It will be led by Cara, a counselor from Citizens’ Advocates who works closely with our school. Cara is trained in the Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and will share real-life strategies you can use at home right away. Come connect, learn, and grow with other caregivers in a welcoming space. Teachers usually take classes outside anytime the "feels like" temperature is above 10 degrees. Unfortunately, right now the hill (actually much of the playground area) is extremely icy and covered by a layer of slippery snow. For this reason, we cannot take classes out until further notice, as a safety precaution. Thanks for your patience, as progress with these conditions will depend on the weather.

Hello SLC Families! As the temperatures are getting colder, please be sure your child is properly dressed for the weather. We do try to take advantage of the hill behind the school for sledding during recess! In the winter, boots are always a good idea, but they should also bring their sneakers to school to wear inside the building and for PE class. If you have a need for appropriate winter wear, please reach out and we may be able to help.
