Mean Girls: High School Version tells the story of Cady Heron (Alexis Crites), a formerly homeschooled student who moves from South Africa to the United States. As she navigates North Shore High School for the first time, she is taken under the wings of classmates Janis Sarkisian (Claire Todd) and Damian Hubbard (Rex Hoyt).
Along the way, Cady becomes acquainted with Regina George (Lillian-Rose Murray), Gretchen Wieners (Brielle Vanier), and Karen Smith (Bella Fedonick), who make up the school’s most popular clique, nicknamed “The Plastics”. As she navigates cliques, bullying, unwritten social rules, and her major crush on AP Calculus student Aaron Samuels (Adam Kohl), Cady begins to lose sight of who she really is. Ultimately, she discovers the importance of staying true to herself and what it truly means to be a good friend.
Please note that this show is rated PG13 and contains topics that may be sensitive to some, including mild swearing, bullying behavior, and self-esteem issues. The show highlights concerns faced by real teenagers, and emphasizes the importance of resisting peer pressure, staying kind to others, and being true to oneself.
